At San Diego Gay Pride, on July 20th, Kathy Griffiin was the lead act.  She was GREAT!  But wouldn't you know it, as she always does, she talks about celebs.  And this night was no exception.  She was riffing on Lindsey Lohan for being a lesbian (now) when a group of people started to point at Lindsey sitting towards the front of the crowd.  Wouldn't you know it, Lindsey Lohan was at Gay Pride for the weekend with her new female squeeze. Kathy Griffin back-peddled so fast it totally screwed up her routine and what she was planning in terms of making fun of her.  The whole thing was actually very funny.  The joke was on Kathy unfortunately!!!

I'm really into OLD SKOOL techno at the moment, and I listen specifically to it when I work out.  Egyptian Empire is one of my favorites and I just love pushing myself to this trak.  It reminds me of my old club days (as I am much older than a lot of you here).  Hey, I'm the real deal and grew up in the best time possible!

Determined Realist (DR)

Determined Realists like to bear responsibility and welcome challenges. They are stable, reliable persons. External contacts are very important to them; they mix well and are very active. They are never superficial, but reliable and loyal friends who are always there when they are needed. At a new ballet studio {for me}, originally uploaded by SOFTSERVEGIRL.

I wanted to find a ballet studio closer to my home (thank you escalating gas prices). Even though I didn't hear the best reviews of this dance school I thought that it was still worth a try. Unfortunately it wasn't what I expected and the level of dancers not what I am accustomed to. But that's OK. I worked on my musicality, and since I have started to lift weights as a part of my training, the squats I have been doing has been working AGAINST by ballet mojo. I am definitely going to STOP the weights on the legs. It's simply not... conducive ... to having a strong and lithe lower body. Those weights fight against it. I am so convinced of this fact I'm going to re-examine my regime.
