My dear sweet Monkey-Girl got her sharp little puppy teeth on this DVD of "Catch and Release." Needless to say I was in shock upon returning home from my saturday errands to find the DVD not only ripped from the envelope, but profusely whittled into metallic lace. I had to laugh and cry at the same time because it was actually clever of her and troublesome at the same time. OH MY LITTLE MONKEY!!!

I WOULD TOO IF I SAW THIS. I mean, we as women get it all the time for the lack of ass or boobs, or the bountiful assets we may possess (a.k.a. baby's got back sort of thing). But to have this kitten anime thing girl with the comment about length vs. heart throb swoon, makes me think that men actually believe this crap.

The No-Contact Jacket is a wearable defensive jacket created to aid women in their struggle for protection from violence. When activated by the wearer, 80,000 volts of low amperage electric current pulses just below the surface shell of the entire jacket. This exo-electric armor prevents any person from unauthorized contact with the wearer's body. If an assailant were to grab hold of the wearer the high voltage exterior would interrupt their neurological impulses which control voluntary muscle movement. The neuromuscular system would be overwhelmed causing disorientation and loss of balance to occur and of course pain. The pain experienced is non-lethal but is enough to effectively and immediately deter contact with the wearer and provide a critical life saving oppurtunity for escape.

The goal of the No-Contact Jacket is to call attention to violence against women and to offer an alternative response to the body's vulnerable space and boundaries that society, culture and fashion have created.

I found these images while going through my archives and organizing. Back in the day when I shot film these images were captured using the Yashika point-and-shoot with incredible glass. the optics were amazing. Anyway, this is an image of my SWEET LUCY at a birthday party. She was 5 years old. I don't think she was liking the hat too much. Oh, fond memories of my wonderful Lucy Girl!! I Miss Her!
